All Y2Y volunteers are recruited from schools and colleges in the Borough of Ealing, as well as those in surrounding boroughs.
A young Outreach Worker (most often a current experienced volunteer) arranges presentations to students in various year groups to tell them about the service available to them – and their friends – when they need to talk. The Outreach Workers are specially trained to deal with common problems for young people and particularly bullying.
Recruitment takes place two to three times a year, when the Outreach Worker arranges for recruitment posters to be mailed to a wide range of schools, colleges and other youth organisations with a request to display in the library or other common areas. Would you like a visit from one of our volunteers? Send us your details.
